Most leaks start at the lead. We make it watertight.
Lead is what seals a roof where it meets something else: the chimney, a side wall, a dormer, a valley between two slopes. When lead splits, lifts, slips out of the mortar joint or was never dressed properly, water runs straight behind it. On older Manchester houses, a lot of leaks that look like roof leaks are really lead leaks.
We renew step and cover flashings at chimneys and walls, soakers under the tiles, lead-lined valleys and back gutters, and the lead on dormer cheeks and bay roofs. The lead is cut, dressed and fixed to suit your roof, and the joints are pointed in so it stays put.
Lead and chimney checks once a year catch small cracks and lifted edges before they let the water in. If yours needs doing, you get photos of what we found and a written price first.

New roof in four days, start to finish
From 1st intial phone call to job being completed- 4 days. 1st day- Hughie came within hour after a very stressfull call to look at problem, take photos and discuss options with a genuine understanding of what needed to be done. 2nd day-Hughie came back to take drone footage which turned out to be worse for us both which im thankfull for as no one can deny photo evidence, discussed new plan of action then for the scaffolding to be erected. 3rd day- whole roof off, new roof on, all the while photos/drone footage took of whole process, communication through out, materials shown with indepth of why/where and what used for and where possible they like you to observe so no corners are cut and to prove their proud of their work. Cleaned up afterwards and inside gutters cleaned. 4th day-scaffolding down. Can not thank Hughie enough. Such a genuine company...observed his brother on another roof job through video call...another brother distrubuting flyers and even his dad in person checking in. NO PUSHY SALE TACTICS...NO LIES ( to many photos)...with NO BS!!!!!! Will 1000000000% be using this company again for other jobs and will be shouting their company name from the roof tops. Just so thankfull ive found a genuine honest company in Hughie xxRead it on Google

Before you book
Straight answers about your roof
How often should lead flashings be checked?
Once a year. Small cracks or displaced lead let water in and damage the roof and the rooms below.
Can lead be repaired or does it need replacing?
Small lifts can be re-dressed and re-pointed. Split or thin lead is better replaced, and we will show you photos so you can see which yours is.
Do you fit lead valleys?
Yes. We strip out failed valleys and re-line them in lead, then re-lay the tiles or slates either side.
Is leadwork guaranteed?
Yes. Leadwork is backed by our 10 year guarantee and priced in writing before we start.
