Family-run20+ years’ experience
A new roof built properly, layer by layer, and cleared away fast.
When a roof has been patched for years and still lets water in, the trouble is underneath: perished felt, rotten battens and tiles or slates that no longer hold. A re-roof deals with all of it. The old covering comes off back to the rafters, the timbers are checked and repaired, then new breathable membrane, new treated battens, new tiles or slates and new ridge, hip and verge details go on.
Debie E. wrote down how it went on her roof: Hughie came within the hour, came back the next day with the drone, the scaffold went up, the whole roof came off and the new roof went on in a day, gutters were cleaned and the scaffold was down on day four. Sachin B. describes the same thing: new roof done within a few days, everything tidy, scaffold taken down straight away.
We fit new roofs across Manchester, Trafford, Salford and Stockport, on bungalows, semis, terraces and detached houses, in slate, concrete interlocking tiles and clay. You get drone photos through the job, a written price before we start, and our 10 year guarantee when we finish.

Our method
How we fit a new roof
- Free roof survey. Hughie looks at the roof, takes photos and, on tall or awkward roofs, flies the drone so you can see what he sees.
- Written quote. The work and the price in writing. The price you are quoted is the price you pay.
- Scaffold up. Scaffold goes up with the Dawn Roofs banner on it, and a skip arrives for the old roof.
- Strip and check. The old covering comes off back to the rafters and the timbers are checked and repaired.
- Membrane and battens. New breathable membrane and new treated battens go on.
- Tiles or slates, ridges and lead. The new covering goes on, then the ridges, hips, verges and lead.
- Clear away. Gutters cleaned, skips and scaffold taken away, and the site left tidy.

New roof in four days, start to finish
From 1st intial phone call to job being completed- 4 days. 1st day- Hughie came within hour after a very stressfull call to look at problem, take photos and discuss options with a genuine understanding of what needed to be done. 2nd day-Hughie came back to take drone footage which turned out to be worse for us both which im thankfull for as no one can deny photo evidence, discussed new plan of action then for the scaffolding to be erected. 3rd day- whole roof off, new roof on, all the while photos/drone footage took of whole process, communication through out, materials shown with indepth of why/where and what used for and where possible they like you to observe so no corners are cut and to prove their proud of their work. Cleaned up afterwards and inside gutters cleaned. 4th day-scaffolding down. Can not thank Hughie enough. Such a genuine company...observed his brother on another roof job through video call...another brother distrubuting flyers and even his dad in person checking in. NO PUSHY SALE TACTICS...NO LIES ( to many photos)...with NO BS!!!!!! Will 1000000000% be using this company again for other jobs and will be shouting their company name from the roof tops. Just so thankfull ive found a genuine honest company in Hughie xxRead it on Google
